The DaVinci Code Post #5

"Discuss your reasons for choosing the book you chose. Did the book deliver?" I chose to read the DaVinci code, because my dad had read it and had recommended it to me. I'd also heard of it, and been wanting to read it. This blog project finally pushed me to start it, and I ended up really enjoying it. I'm not quite sure what I was expecting when I decided to read the book. It definitely turned out to be a lot different from what I had originally thought it was going to be.

The DaVinci Code Post #4

Okay, so one of the question prompts my English teacher gave me was, "Did you enjoy the book? Why or why not? Oftentimes I tell you that literature is like an onion; you can always peel away at another layer. Is this book an onion?" I thought about this question a lot. I would definitely say that I enjoyed this book, it was fast-paced, interesting, and even when I thought I knew it all, there was another layer hiding. I don't know if I would say that it had layers exactly. I'd compare this book to a puzzle. Things are confusing at first, but it all fits together so perfectly at the end. And sometimes one thing matches up with two different parts of the book, or will have a double meaning. It's very, very interesting, if you've read this book or any other with a similar effect and have an idea of what I mean. It's hard to explain, but easy to discover...
